Owl Occasions!

This is my first Owl card!  Yes, I know that it only took a couple of years and a good friend to get the Owl punch -- thanks Kathy!! -- but it finally happened.  I love this punch!  I teamed it up with Owl Occasions from the Holiday Mini and the Howlstooth & Scaringbone dsp to come up with this autumn owl.

Core'dinations!

                         

Here is my first attempt with some of the new products from the Holiday Mini.  I really love the new Core'dinations card stock.  I run a piece of Cherry Cobbler Core'dinations through the Big Shot in the new Woodgrain folder, then sanded it -- the result was amazing!  There is enough heft to the cs that it holds up to the folder and the sanding really well.

I also used the new Window framelits.  I really like the look of twisting them around, rather than using them straight on top of each other!

I loved From My Heart as soon as I saw it in the new catty and this is my first time out, taking it for a spin.  I'm definitely loving the Fancy Fan folder, too!  I hadn't pulled out and used my old Photo-Corner punch in forever and I'm glad that I did -- it was the perfect accent.

Stippled Blossoms

This one is for NavyWyf over at Splitcoast -- she wanted a sample with Stippled Blossoms, so here it is!  I really like this set.  There are enough flower and leaf pieces to make it interesting.  

One think that I'll say about the new stitched satin ribbon is that you really need some Fray Check to keep it from unraveling at the cut ends.  After experimenting with it, it cuts better if you put the Fray Check on the un-cut ribbon, let it dry a minute, then cut.  I've gotten the best results with that.

The Gumball Green cutout behind the Primrose Petals ribbon was made with the Finishing Touches edglits.  The embellishment is a medium-sized Vintage Faceted button with a Jumbo pearl glued into it.
